Abilities Expo Coming to Anaheim

 Abilities Expo/Southern California—dedicated to educating and improving the lives of people with disabilities, senior citizens, their families, and caregivers—is coming to Anaheim, California on Friday, May 30 through Sunday, June 1, 2008. 
 
     “We have dozens of terrific partners that make it possible for us to offer exciting events for people of all ages throughout the three-days of the Show,” said Expo spokesperson Veronica Gonnello. 
 
     Xable.com will offer interactive media coverage from Abilities Expo and will be broadcasting live from the Expo all three days. Visit www.xable.com to see the New York Metro Expo in March.
 
     XTreme Medical will sponsor three days of sporting events and games, including Quad Rugby, Basketball, Tennis, Hockey, and Football. Some events will involve former and future paralympians. 
 
     Ms. Wheelchair America 2008, Kristin McCosh, will be leading an aerobics/fitness class, which will involve audience participation.

 AARP and Shared Solutions America will seek to help people better understand how to build new homes and make changes to existing homes incorporating special features that will help all family members perform daily living tasks more efficiently and enjoyably.
 
     Art and pottery created by local disabled artists will be on exhibition.

The Expo will include many other exhibitors as well.

A Minnesota Expo will take place September 12-14, 2008.

The May-June West Coast Abilities Expo will take place at the Anaheim Convention Center at 800 West Katella Avenue.
