Blindness and Low Vision Studies

The Department of Blindness and Low Vision Studies at Western Michigan University has the oldest and largest blindness and low vision studies programs in the world, according to the university’s website.

The department offers graduate degrees in four areas, preparing individuals to be teachers of children with visual impairments, rehabilitation teachers, orientation and mobility specialists, and rehabilitation counselors.
