Set to launch this month, FamilyConnect is a Web site for parents of children with visual impairments. The site contains information on topics such as eye conditions, education, global and assistive technology, and multiple disabilities. Discussion groups for specific topics and online video profiles are other resources that "connect" site users. The site also lists services for the visually impaired that are available in the United States, including Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands, and Guam.

FamilyConnect is jointly sponsored by the American Foundation for the Blind and the National Association for Parents of Children with Visual Impairments.
