Blind Children to Receive Letters from Santa this Christmas

Posted November 20th, 2008

Many children are excited to send their Christmas wish lists to Santa Claus. But they are even more excited to get one back. Thus, the National Federation of the Blind Jernigan Institute announced that from November 16 to December 16, it will be writing and mailing Braille letters from Santa to children who are blind across the nation.

Parents may request a Braille letter in either contracted or uncontracted form. In addition to boys’ and girls’ letters, their parents will receive a print copy to read and enjoy as well. Letters will be mailed starting December 1, and the deadline for letter requests is December 16.
