“Act justly … love mercy … walk humbly with your God.” Micah 6:8

I am increasingly convinced of this: the more important something is to God, the simpler He makes it. There are lots of challenging theological concepts that I may never fully understand, but I believe if something is crucial, either for my salvation or for daily living, He will make it plain and clear. Micah 6:8 is an example.
What does the Lord require?
1. Act justly.
2. Love mercy.
3. Walk humbly with Him.
In another recent devotional, I observed that Philippians 4:8 tells us what to think about. Today I'll add Micah 6:8 as a basic text for Christians. It tells us what we should do—three simple things: act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly with God.
If everything you or I did in life was built around doing the right (or just) thing, and we did it with a heart of love and care, and with a humble spirit, what would happen to us and everyone around us?
