No, it wasn't the word "Crikey". It was the word 'dangled'. Your choice of verb seems to imply that Irwin held the babe out over the outstretched jaws of the 'crocs' as if it was 'feeding time'. From your story it sounds like he was pulling a Michael Jackson by holding the babe out over the balcony. I don't think that was what you meant. Was it?
